A sheepfold is depicted on the 1st edition Ordnance Survey map of 1889, and is believed to have been constructed shortly before that in 1888 (source: Dyfed Wildlife Trust, cardigan File). All that survives of the structure is the platform created for it. It was situated at the edge of the coastal slope, just above the East Landing Point (NPRN 421075). This was one of the most accessible landing places on the island and likely to have been one where animals were taken on and off the island.
