A roman-letter inscribed stone first recorded built into the churchyard wall (left of the lych gate) of St Clydai's Church (NPRN ), but moved inside the church by 1896. It now stands against the west wall of the south aisle, with Clydai 2 (NPRN 422370) and Clydai 3 (NPRN 421735).

The stone is a rough, irregular dolerite pillar. Measurements are given as 163cm height x 29>21.5cm width x 32>19cm diameter. Its inscription is thought to date to the later 5th or first half of the 6th century. It has been translated as `of Solinus son of Vendonus (or Vendonius)?.
