Kymin View Primary and Nursery School is situated in the Wyesham district of Monmouth, on the south eastern side of the Wye River. It was built in 2007 by the Willmott Dixon Turner construction company. The school won a 'Highly Commendend by the Judges' Local Authority Building Control (LABC) Cymru South Wales Building Award in 2008.
'The school is an excellent example of a building which provides modern teaching facilities. The school has many ecological features such as automatic opening windows, bio-mass boiler and a rain collection system which uses the rainwater to flush the toilets. The school also has community facilities on site which strengthens links with their neighbourhood.'
