The village of Abererch is situated approximately a mile and a half north east of Pwllheli, on the southern coast of the Lleyn Peninsula. The river Erch runs through the centre of the village and is crossed by the bridge (NPRN 23778). Abererch has a primary school educating around eighty children through the medium of Welsh. The primary school uses the old National School's building (NPRN 411046). The village church is dedicated to St. Cawdraf (NPRN 43707), and has its origins in the 14th century. Abererch also had two chapels - Ebeneser Welsh Independent chapel (NPRN 6680) and Aber-erch Welsh Calvinistic Methodist chapel (NPRN 6683).
