Llanychlwydog 2 stands to the south-west of the former St David's Church, Llanychlwydog (NPRN 308784). It was first noted in 1811, when it reportedly stood in the churchyard with another undecorated stone. It was noted as standing to the north of the church in 1908, and was found to be set in 19th century building rubble in 1984. It was removed to Scolton Manor Museum at that time, but was returned to the church before 1992. The stone would almost certainly have functioned as an upright grave marker within the early medieval cemetery excavated within the churchyard. It is one of four early medieval stones found within the churchyard.

The stone is a rough, quadrangular pillar of microdiorite. Measurements are given as 176cm height x 39.5 > 35cm width x 19 < 23cm diameter. It is carved on face A, with outline and double-outline crosses. The carving is thought to be ninth to eleventh century in date.
