Penantigi Isaf farm is located next to the A470, just to the south east of the Bwlch Oerddrws pass and approximately six miles east of Dolgellau. The farmhouse and adjoining outbuildings are depicted on the first and second editions of the 25inch OS maps, published in 1889 and 1901 respectively. Both the farmhouse and the attached outbuildings have survived, and in recent years have been joined by modern agricultural buildings with corrugated iron roofs.
