Royal Commission aerial reconnaissance during the 2018 drought, on 10 July 2018, recorded extensive parchmarks of at least one polygonal enclosure, and associated ditches and pits, on a hillslope bordering the northern side of the Afon Fathew at Pont y Felindre. The northern boundary of the one or two potential enclosures marks the line of an historic field boundary, since removed. However, the potential enclosures and other ditches and pits in the vicinity are suggestive of a settlement or agricultural complex rather than simple relict field boundaries.

The complex lies adjacent to a square barrow cemetery (NPRN 423308) discovered at the same time.

Recorded during baseline aerial reconnaissance survey for the CHERISH Project. ? Crown: CHERISH PROJECT 2018. Produced with EU funds through the Ireland Wales Co-operation Programme 2014-2020. All material made freely available through the Open Government Licence.
