Maen Gwenonwy is a small offshore stack measuring c. 80m x 60m with a grassy summit which slopes to the south-east. Aerial reconnaissance for the EU funded CHERISH Project on 3rd May 2017 identified a low boundary wall skirting the edge of the stack on the west side, measuring c. 45m long north-south, together with an area of low earthworks just inside the wall which might signify a long house or domestic structure.
