Cofnod Safle

Long farmyard range of several phases, possibly partly contemporary with the adjacent late C17 farmhouse (NPRN: 21091). Clearly built in at least two and possibly three phases, with the N end being more C19 in character. Comprises a cider mill (possibly of C18 date), a barn and lofted animal accommodation. Rubble stone with slate roof to cider mill; otherwise corrugated iron (RAJ, RCAHMW, 17 November 2003; based on CADW listing description).

[Additional:] An album of photographs of 'Skirrid Barn' before conversion has been presented to RCAHMW. The photographs show that the C19th brick-built range wasconstructed as a series of open-fronted cattle sheds with king-post trusses supported by the brick piers between the open bays.
