A rain gauge shown on modern Ordnance Survey mapping. The rain gauge pot sits within in a small, square enclosure defined by a post and wire fence measuring 4m by 4m with no entrance into it. The general vegetation in the locality in July 2009 was purple moor grass. J.J. Hall, Trysor, 29 July 2009
