C19 coal level marked as 'old level' on 1st ed county OS map. It is close to the Graig Colliery and may have been an early working of the that colliery (nprn 507795). It survives as a U-shaped N-S depression 4m long N-S, by 3m wide and 1.3m deep. The lower end has been cut off by a C20 tramway.
