Late C19 coal level first shown on the 2nd ed county OS map, by which time it was already disused. Entrance to the level is defined by a cutting 30m long N-S, by 6m wide and 3m deep. Some coursed-rubble revetment survives at the lower end but the remainder is steep grassy banks.
