Cofnod Safle

Part of the late C19 Rhondda Fach Water Acheme (nprn 309952) by the Pontypridd Water Works Co. The filtering tanks are shown on the 2nd ed county OS map, and are still in use. The tanks cover an area 85m NW-SE by 20m, with rubble-stone revetment on the NE (uphill) side. The area is flat and grassy, and has a series of concrete platforms 0.9m square, and cast-iron ventilator pipes.
