Late C19 reservoir, probably supplying engine boilers of Maerdy No 3 pit (nprn 33505), and first shown on 2nd ed county OS map. Approximately 25m E-W, by 15m, made up of earthen banks 1.5m high and 3m wide. Banks are well preserved, but trees are growing in the interior.
