Disgrifiad
Opened in 1760 as the first bank in Aberystwyth and possibly Wales, it was called the Old Ship, it served the maritime community. A late Georgian building: 3-storeys high plus attic and a 3-window painted roughcast front. The roof is slate with brick chimney stack, boxed bracket eaves and pitched roof dormer windows. Overall windows are small pane sash. Paired classical doorcase is offset to the right with fluted pilasters, cornice and entablature frieze.

Situated over the cill is an iron emblem of a black sheep. This relates to the Black Sheep Bank found elsewhere on Bridge Street. It was placed on this building by mistake.
