A narrow (4m) causeway of quay is shown extending some 80m from the foreshore (orientated 110/315 degrees) on OS 2st edition mapping. The road from Nash and Sprinkle Colliery and Pill End to East Hook crosses the causeway a ford to the west and the causeway about a third of the distance along its length. It is possible that the quay served the coal pit and limekiln to the north (NPRN 518373) and the Pill End and its limekiln to the west (NPRN 518372). A track leads directly west-northwest to a small dwelling. Modern aerial photography shows the quay to be extant with a modern smal craft possibly abandoned on its western side. The dwelling site to be under tree cover, but unlikely no longer extant.
