OS 1st edition 25in mapping shows an oval depression with the entrance to the shatf and possible the remains of the whim on its northwestern rim. The pit is linked by a track to the line of the tramroad leading to Landshipping Quay (NPRN 517775). Modern aerial photography shows only a flat ploughed field.
