A complex of lead mines and trials (nprn 537494) is at the foot of a rocky slope on the W side of Llynnau Gamallt. They date from the C19 and early C20. This trial is a rock-cut entrance at the base of a slope, partly obscured by piled up rubble, but still with a 1m square opening. Inside, the level is 2m high and waterlogged, its extent unknown. The level appears to exploit a 1m-wide vein visible in the cliff face above the entrance.
