Hawen Independent Chapel was built 1747, rebuilt in 1790, 1811 and 1838. the prsent chapel, dated 1838, is built in the Simple Round-Headed style of the long-wall entry type. Hawen was renovated in 1878 and is now Grade 2 listed as a particularly attractive chapel retaining its original 1830's roughcast front.
