The wreck of a boat, upturned, lies in the intertidal zone at the Mumbles, c. 85m down the foreshore from the high-water mark. The remains comprise the keel and a couple of runs of strakes, possibly clinker built, to either side. The wreck is aligned west-east and is 4.6m in length. The stern is possibly towards the east. The lightness of the timbers, along with their size suggests that this is the remains of a boat, rather than a ship.
