DisgrifiadThe wharf lay at the Swansea Canal end of the Palleg Railway (T43, 7,403m north-east of Pontardawe, 21,631m from Swansea). This was an important and complex feeder railway of the 1790s, surviving until the 1960s. A fan of no less than six tracks, operated by the various carriers on the railway, ended in tipping-stages alongside 300m of wharfage.
