Royal Commission drought aerial reconnaissance, on 4th July 2018, discovered cropmarks of a polygonal ditched enclosure measuring 40m across. The enclosure underlies the present-day field boundaries and has a broad ditch, which is bivallate on the north side. The ditch is of an unusual character, apparently having been dug in an irregular fashion; on geophysics could fully characterise the site. The country lane angles around the north side and corner of the enclosure, suggesting it was once extant in the historic landscape. (AP_2018_2465-6).
