DisgrifiadThe house at Great House Farmstead (nprn 401576) is a cruck-trussed building dating fronm the fifteenth century: a felling date of winter 1449/50 has been obtained from the cruck-trusses by dendrochronology. The ornate central cruck arch is braced and cusped. There are seventeenth century alterations: a date of 1661 is carved on a doorway with an ogee door-frame.
