Bethania Independent Chapel was built in 1818, enlarged in 1829, rebuilt 1839 and then modified in 1857 and 1903. The present chapel, dated 1839, is built in the Arts and Crafts style of the long-wall entry type. The chapel has been demolished but the vestry and schoolroom, which were at the rear (east) of the chapel, remain. as does the chapel house adjacent on the south side.
