DisgrifiadA rare, partially surviving small-colliery ventilation fan and shaft, typical of hundreds in operation in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The site consists of a low spoil mound with a narrow circular shaft about 2m in diamater at its centre, lined in brick and stone. The housing for the fan engine can be seen as well as the mounting for the engine. The remains are associated with Cwmdu Drift Mine nearby (nprn 409701).
