Gardens & other landscape features associated with house (Nprn25944); various earthwork features in the vicinity (Nprn402194) may relate to an earlier layout that that depicted on OS County series (Brecknock. XVII.12 1889): a walled garden at nearby Greenpit Farm (Nprn86064) would appear to be a component of the Oakfield gardens.

2. This garden is depicted on the Ordnance Survey 25-inch map of Brecknockshire XVII, sheet 12 (1888, 1904). It appears as if a dower house to the nearby Greenpit Farm which has all the other components of an estate nucleus. It has a terrace, lawns and carriage turning circle and lies before a tiny wooded hillside. A foundtain is marked on the later map.
