Sub-square embanked enclosure c20m x 17m, rounded corners, on low rise SE of stream. Associated with fragmentary linear banks to NE, & to SW (NPRN 89438). Likely pastoral use. (T G Driver 1996).

Overflown in 2001 in winter light and recognised as a Roman practice camp. Visited on 6/3/2002 and confirmed. See long text.
