'Old Limekiln' is depicted and annotated on the first edition Ordnance Survey 25in map of 1876 to the east of the Glamorganshire Canal (nprn 34425) towing path. It does not apear on the second edition map of 1900 having been built over by the Merthyr & Quakers Yard Branch of the Great Western Railway and Rhymney Railway Joint Line.
