The eastern bridge of the A48 Neath by-pass road (nprn 91602) crosses Briton Ferry Dock (nprn 34237), the South Wales Railway main line (nprn 402096) and various minor railways and roads. The bridge consists of an 11-span steel viaduct some 296m long, and was completed in 1955.
