The brick works (nprn 40776) and clay pit (nprn 91676) were linked by a double-tracked narrow gauge railway, some 530m long and now dismantled, which ran in a 60m long tunnel (nprn 91678) under the Bangor Road. There were various sidings and spurs at the pit and these were moved as clay excavation demanded. (For a detailed account of the site see under nprn 40776)
