DisgrifiadA section of Offa's Dyke (NPRN: 306866) to the east of Montgomery. It is well preserved with a prominent bank and ditch.
Offa's Dyke typically occupies an imposing position in the landscape. The planning and construction of the Dyke was one of the great undertakings of the age and is usually attributed to Offa, the Saxon King of Mercia (The Midlands), who was a powerful leader and astute politician ruling from AD 757 to 796.
