St John's church is located on the east side of Libanus Road (B4486) in the Newtown district of Ebbw Vale. It was built in 1908-9, to designs of architect G.E.Halliday in the Perpendicular style, of red Ebbw Vale brick and Forest of Dean stone dressings (1).
The church is now disused and converted to residential accommodation.
