Salem Baptist Chapel was built in 1852 and rebuilt 1872, by architect H. Morgan of Swansea and builders Thomas, Morgan & Davies of Swansea, and 1908. By 1998 Salen had fallen into disuse but the building is now Grade 2 Listed, as a largely unaltered chapel retaining its original decortations and fittiings.
