A dovecot close to Oystermouth castle was destroyed in the 19thC, its ruins finally removed in the early 20thC, but its position was rediscovered in the late 1960s.
A 'columbarium' was in use in the manor of Oystermouth in 1367, noted in a Receiver's Account for that year.
