The hillfort is defined by a roughly sub-rectangular 0.7ha earthwork enclosure, about 140m north-east to south-west by 50m, occupying the south-western end of an isolated ridge. It is defined by scarps above steep natural slopes on the north-west and south-east, and elsewhere by a rampart & ditch. It has a south-west facing entrance.

It is possible that the enclosure may have extended further to the north-east, enclosing the entire ridge-top.
