The bean-shaped enclosure at Cwm Aran measures c.75m by 50m, and is defined by banks and ditches. It appears to be bivallate about the west entrance, where there is also a further crescent of bank and ditch, suggesting an annex, the whole extending c.54m from the inner entrance.

There are indications of a rectangular disturbance/structure, c.10m by 4.0m in the E part of the enclosure.
