DisgrifiadNAR RR67a
Roman road from Chester (DEVA) to the St Asaph area (the presumed site of VARIS), beyond wich the road is recorded as RR67b (Nprn303925): a possible stretch of road, betrayed by intermittent linear parchmarks, has been observed over a distance of about 1.0km, running generally west-north-west & then north-west, from SJ25937168 to SJ25007227, passing roughly 300m inland of the settlement complex at Pentre Farm (Nprn92976): the road would appear to have passed close to the site of Croes Atti, suggesting either that the road continued in-use through into the medieval period, or that the features observed represent a medieval roadway.
