DisgrifiadAn uncertain medieval borough whose existence is suggested by occasional mention of burgesses. Such a borough should post-date a 'Welsh vill' recorded here in 1304.
The settlement of Tal-Sarn (NPRN 401436) and the Priory at Llanllyr (NPRN 400436) provide alternate or complimentary foci in the locality - a fair at Tal-Sarn was associated with the Priory.
The grouping of castle mound (NPRN 303879) and church is suggestive of a llys site. An association with the possible enclosure at Talsarn (NPRN 401436) might be sought - as maerdref and llys?
