At Pontdolgoch Sawmill an external overshot waterwheel, made of iron with steel buckets, drives a variety of woodworking machinery in the workshop, including a circular saw, bandsaw, lathe and various drills and morticing machines. They are all fully operational and in use. Ty Coch house is adjacent (NPRN 404195).
