Newbridge-on-Wye (nprn 413081) was a wayside station on the Mid-Wales Railway, which opened between Llanidloes and Brecon in 1864. The signal box, a small wooden cabin on a brick base, is a Dutton type 4 (Cambrian Railways) design, and was erected on the east platform in 1891.
The railway and station closed in 1964 and the site was demolished and cleared, however the signal box was moved to Erwood station (nprn 306717) in 2004 and re-erected there in a modified form.
