A fine bridge supported by four cast iron spans each about 10m long mounted into stone buttresses either end. These spans are surmounted by girders the front face of which carries an inscription stating "Thomas Penson County Surveyor. R & W Jones Ruabon Foundry 1845". The road width is about 4m. The roadway has been replaced sometime between 1992 and 1998. The earlier photographic record shows the bridge sagging slightly and with a different style of parapet fence. This is unfortunate since no good record was made of what is obviously a feature contemporary with the original structure.
