A flat-topped concrete anchor base with an embedded, now cut, steel loop facing mast 6 of the 1914 antenna. The anchor has a corresponding anchor on the opposite, western side of the mast base. The function is uncertain but was either for attaching ropes for raising a mast-erecting, climbing platform known to have been used here and other Marconi sites, or for triatic (antenna wire support) wire raising and lowering.
