This feature, possibly a fish trap wall, is visible on modern aerial photographic coverage, and is located adjacent to a 'C' shaped curve in the shoreline. The feature extends from the seaward edge of the foreshore (some 30m from the high water mark), and runs approximately 60m in a southerly direction, until it terminates some 30m from the high water mark. This creates a 30m channel between the southern end of the 'C' shaped section of shoreline and the feature.
