Event and Historical Information:
This Lightning was built by BAC, Preston. Its service life included assignments to Squadrons 23, 29, 226 OCU, 11 and lastly 5 Squadron. The aircraft's under carriage jammed up and it was abandoned off RAF Valley on 18 August 1979.
