‘Low-spreading house in Baronial style, built c. 1900 reputedly for the Vernon family of Liverpool. Red brick, red roof tiles etc. in the style of John Douglas. Red sandstone mullion-and-transom bay window to the hall, with embattled parapet. Octagonal corner bay, corbelled out, with blind tracery panels and spire.
