DisgrifiadIn 1987 eight stone mounds between 3 metres and 6 metres in diameter were identified here as part of the archaeological work in advance of the Nelson to Nantgarw pipeline. They were interpreted as clearance cairns. The area is covered in bracken and in 1997 only two cairns were seen and in 2003 only 3. In 2012 the area was visited as part of the Upland Survey during June, when the bracken has not reached its densest, and 8 cairns and a mound were recorded, with two other cairns about 90 metres ot the east of the main group and two 110 metres to the south.
