On level heathland E of Llanrhidian, is a large circular mound with a profile like an inverted saucer, 24.4m in diameter and 1.2m high. Densely bracken covered, its composition is not immediately evident. There are however some old quarry scrapes along its N edge and at the centre is a hollow 5.5m in diameter, the result of robbing (Inventory description.).
Visited D.K.Leighton 28 October 1992:
The central hollow, defined by lush grasses and bracken, contrasting with the rough moorland vegetation surrounding it, has a depth of 0.6m. Otherwise unchanged since last visited by the Royal Commission.
